Sound, immersion and expressivity

Meet Christine Verschorren, an artist and sound engineer renowned for her original approach to music and sound. Her work extends from studios to concert halls, at the console or on stage, where she is constantly exploring new modes of sound expression.

She will share with the public some aspects of her professional experience, which is marked by a wide range of practices: artistic direction, sound performances, studio recording and mixing, sound engineering, the design of sound sculptures within visual installations, and the creation of soundtracks. We’ll discover how she approaches music, how she visualises it, perceives the breaths and connections of musical language and natural materials.

Christine Verschorren graduated from the Sound section of INSAS in 1993. She pursued her professional career in recording studios such as Studios Caraïbes, Molière and Madeleine, where she worked for over 10 years. She also worked as a sound engineer at concerts, following the artists.

She then started working with artistic album production, film mixing and multi-broadcast sound for performances. She has also developed musical compositions, the creation of narrative soundtracks and sound installations linked to the visual arts, with a particular focus on organic materials, which she transforms through various processes.
